The ingredients needed to make Nkwobi:
  1. Prepare 2 kg cow foot
  2. Get 1/4 liter palm oil
  3. Get I teaspoon powered potash
  4. Take 4 seeds of Ehu
  5. Prepare 2 teaspoon ground crayfish
  6. Take 2 medium size yellow pepper
  7. Get 1 medium size onion
  8. Get 2 seasoning cubes
  9. Get to taste Salt
  10. Get To garnish- 1 medium onion and 10 pieces utazi leaves

It is a popular eat out meal common in Nigerian restaurants or beer parlors which may seem complica. Nkwobi, a savory Nigerian side dish originates from the Igbo tribe, located in the southeastern part of Nigeria. The dish is usually prepared with a cow's leg that's cooked in a thick, spicy sauce. Instructions to make Nkwobi:
  1. Cut the cow foot into chunks. Wash and spicy the cow foot with seasoning cubes, onion and cook with pressure cooker
  2. Put the powered potash into a small bowl and add a little water, stir well and pass through a fine sieve and set the liquid aside
  3. Pound the pepper with a mortar and pestle and cur onion into small cubes. Crack and remove the outer shell of ehuru and pond with dry morta and pestle.
  4. While the meat is still cooking. Pour the oil into clean dry pot, pour in the potash mixture into the oil and stir with a wooden spatula until it turns yellow
  5. Add the ground crayfish, pepper, ehu and stir until they are all incorporated
  6. When the meat is done add salt stir and cook till all the water is dried up
  7. Add the well done cow foot to the palm oil paste and stir well with the spatula
  8. Put back on cooker and heat, stir continuously so it doesn’t burn till its steamy hot
  9. Cut onion into rings and slice utazi tiny to garnish
  10. Serve with cold drink 🍷,
