This is a recipe lent to me by my friend, a Pampered Chef representative. She uses this cake as a demo at her house for her parties. Chocolate cake with a "raspberry pudding.".

The ingredients needed to make Red Velvet Pudding:
- Take 10 pieces bread (discard the sides)
- Make ready 15 pieces Strawberry
- Get 1 cup hung curd (1/2 kg pack curd)
- Get 1/4 cup+2 tbsp cream
- Prepare 5 tbsp castor sugar
- Take 1/2 cup strawberry crushed
- Make ready As needed Silver balls for decoration
- Prepare 2 tbsp agar agar powder
- Take 1 tbsp sugar
Supposedly the red velvet cake was a popular choice at that Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York in I use Red velvet pudding or White chocolate pudding mixes, buttermilk instead of water, butter. Classic red velvet cupcakes get extra moist and flavorful when baked into a creamy bread pudding. You can start with cupcakes and frosting made from scratch as instructed below or use frosted. My whole family loves this Red Velvet Pudding, but it is VERY hard to find on the Internet.
Instructions to make Red Velvet Pudding:
- Dissolve the agar agar powder in 2 tbsp of water, then heat a pan with 4 tbsp water then pour this mixture and then cook for 1 minute, keep it aside. In a baking ring mould, line a butter paper around and place the plate under the ring. Then arrange the bread slices and gently press the bread down.
- Cover the ring like shown in the picture below. In a bowl pour hung curd, castor sugar, cream, 4 nos chopped strawberry, mix it with help of hand mixer or blender, then add agar agar mixture then mix it well,
- Pour the curd mixture over the bread base and refrigerate it for 1 hour, for top layer heat a pan with strawberry crush and 2 nos of chopped strawberry and cook for 1 minute then add cream and 1 tbsp of sugar in it, mix thoroughly then keep it aside to cool. Then pour this mixture over the pudding and again refrigerate it for 1hour, then slowly with the help of a knife de-mould the ring then decorate with silver balls and strawberry slices, serve cool.
- Decorate the pudding like the picture as shown below.
I don't understand why grocery stores do not carry it, but if you like Red Velvet anything, you will LOVE this. Vanilla pudding layered with red velvet cake pieces and topped with Reddi-wip for red velvet pudding cups. Red Velvet is typically a cake that is neither chocolate or vanilla, it's somewhere in between. Either way, this is a delicious combination of pudding cake and red velvet! It is moist and so richly delicious!
