- Once meat is soft..take off fire..add d sliced water leaf to the pot..do not add water as water leaf has water hence d name…watch as d water comes out den add ur meat and d small meat stock,d dry fish and kanda den Allow to boil for 2mins den add ur pepper,Maggie,salt and onions…add ginger and garlic and allow to boil… Then add ugwu and check for taste…if taste is good leave for 2mins and den take off fire
