The ingredients needed to make Kunu Dawa:
  1. Get Guinea corn (dawa)
  2. Prepare Sweet potatoes
  3. Prepare Ginger (fresh or dried)
  4. Take Germinated rich (epu in igala language.)

Instructions to make Kunu Dawa:
  1. Wash Dawa to remove dirty and soak in water for at least 2 hours for easier and smoother grinding.
  2. Wash sweet potatoes, germinated rice and ginger.
  3. Peel sweet potatoes and pound together with ginger and germinated rice and put in a separate bowl.
  4. Grind guinea corn separately from the mixture of ginger, germinated rice and sweet potatoes.
  5. Put clean water in a pot and cook till its well boiled.
  6. Add small quality of cold water with the grinded guinea corn paste and stir.
  7. Then add the boiled water and stir for sometime before adding the mixture of grinded sweet potatoes, germinated rice and ginger.
  8. Stir till the thick paste becomes light.
  9. Then sieve with a sieving cloth to remove shaffs.
  10. Add water for a lighter kunu. The sieved output makes the kunu Dawa.
  11. Put in drinking bottles and refrigerate.
