To make jollof rice, wash the brown rice and set aside, I prefer long-grain brown rice because it is healthier than white rice.

- Make ready Meat
- Get Vegetable oil
- Get Onion nd pepper
- Get Maggi, curry, onga
- Get Carrots,cucumber & green beans
Parboiled rice (also called "Uncle Ben's" is ideal. It hardly crumbles and turns into "potopoto" (something mushy). It looks finer than other kinds of rice and will not easily get sticky. In Cameroon, it is known as "Uncle Ben's" in the market.

- Wash your rice with hot water, leave it to dry at least for 5mins, chop all your vege nd the meat
- Pour your veg oil in a pot,on a moderate heat, followed by your chilli pepper, onions and already boiled meat, then pour your water and allow it to boil, then your seasoning, and green beans,let it boil again for at least a minute or two, and put your rice and tumeric, when its about to done put your dice carrot and onion, when its done serve and garnishπ. I garnish mine with cucumber and onion.
